52 members of Kukichin National Front KNF arrested in Bandarban joint operation have been produced in court and 51 have been sent to jail.
After appearing in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Nazmul Hussain on Tuesday afternoon, the judge ordered to send 51 people to jail.
Among them, a female member named Elizabeth Baum was granted bail as she was pregnant. Earlier, they were produced in the court under tight security.
Court Police Inspector Fazlul Haque said that 48 cases of robbery and three cases of weapons have been filed against them. 52 KNF personnel were arrested from Ruma, Thanchi in Bandarban and Reicha camp in district headquarters in the operation of joint forces. 49 of them were brought to Bandarban Sadar Police Station from Ruma on Monday night under tight security. They have been produced in court today.
