State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dhaka and Bangkok to increase energy cooperation is in the final stage.
On Tuesday (April 9) in his office at the Secretariat, he told Thailand’s Ambassador Makawadi Sumitmore, ‘We hope the agreement will be signed soon. This cooperation in the energy sector will help increase cooperation in the economic, industrial and social sectors.
The Ambassador of Thailand expressed his country’s interest in investing in deep sea oil and gas exploration and LNG supply.
He requested the Minister of State to assist in this regard during the Prime Minister’s visit to Thailand.
